21-09-2014 A Memory Walk


A memory walk was held. More than 500 members participated in the walk. The walk was flagged by honorable Mayor Shree Haji Shaik Abdul Aziz. Initially a pamphlet with 10 salient points to identify dementia was released which was distributed among the public. Honorable Mayor congratulated and wished success in future.

World Alzheimer’s day 21st September 2014


Free epilepsy camp was held. Patients were distributed free medicines. All patients held placards related to dementia and marked the World Alzheimer’s day.21st September 2014.The next camp is scheduled for October 19th.

6th September 2014 World Alzheimer’s Month 2014


A press meet was held to increase the the awareness about Alzheimer’s disease. The theme for World Alzheimer’s Month 2014 ‘Dementia: Can we reduce the risk?’ was emphasised. The stages of dementia and caregiver education was highlighted. Memory clinic every Saturday was started.

24th August 2014 FREEDOM FROM EPILEPSY


Campaign was held. Epilepsy patients were given free consultation and medicines for a month. To mark the event balloons were released by all patients. As the balloons soared high in the air patients felt very thrilled, a feeling that they had freedom from epilepsy.

The next camp is scheduled on 21 st September.

5th August 2014 Priyadashini Engineering College


awareness programme on epilepsy and stroke was held at Priyadashini engineering college at Nellore. The programme was attended by more than 500 students. There was a good interaction.

22nd July 2014 World Brain Day programme


World Brain Day programme was held at Vikram Simhapuri university. This was to mark the WFN’s first “World Brain Day” on 22 July. Speaking to students and faculty, it was emphasized that neurological diseases are a major cause of death. According to the WHO, they account for 12 percent of deaths worldwide.. An overview of Epilepsy and Stroke was given. There was a good interaction

6th July 2014 Free stroke camp


98 patients with stroke were examined and given free medications which included antiplatelets, statins, antihypertensives and symptomatic medications. The next scheduled camp is on 10th August.

Pragati charities 24-06-2014


Free epilepsy camp was held at Pragati charities. There are 220 mentally challenged children with over 30 children with epilepsy.

All children were examined and given medicines.
