16-03-2014 Free Stroke Camp


Free medical camp was held at Axon Neuro and Rehab care for stroke patients on 16th march 2014. 100 patients of stroke were given free consultation and physiotherapy. Selected patients underwent blood investigations. All patients were given free medicines for one month. Next camp is on 13th april 2014.

13-03-2014 vijaya college of nursing


Brain awareness week was celebrated Dr Bindu Menon foundation. An awareness programme was conducted in Vijaya school of Nursing. 90 students attended the programme. The students were distributed a questionnaire and then a lecture on epilepsy, stroke and other neurological disorders was done. Videos of different epilepsy were shown and differentiating each form of epilepsy was taught. Students interacted with questions.

02-03-2014 Camp


Free medical camp was held on 2nd march 2014; around 86 patients attended the programme. Patients were given free consultation and medicines. The major illness seen in the camp was epilepsy, stroke, headache and spinal pains.

RedCross Spastics center 29th jan 2014


Free medical camp was held in Red Cross spastic society on 29th Jan 2014. There are around 120 spastic children in the society. 80 children were examined and were distributed medicines. Around 20% children have epilepsy. As part of the awareness program to prevent cerebral palsy the poster which was released was also displayed and counseling was done.

Free stroke camp 27 jan 2014


Free stroke camp was held on 27th Jan 2014 at Dr Bindu Menon foundation. Patients were given free consultation and free medicines for one month. Few patients underwent blood investigation and all of them underwent physiotherapy. Only patients who are below poverty line are enrolled in the foundation.

A counseling session was held for all patients to emphasize about the importance of lifelong medicines and physiotherapy.

Govt Girls High school


Awareness programme was held in Govt Girls High school. 90 students attended the programme. A questionnaire was distributed and later facts about epilepsy, recognition of stroke, and triggers of migraine were stressed. Teachers also attended the programme and a medical camp was held later in the school premises for the children.

Awareness programme in Ved Vyasa School,21/1/2014


Awareness programme in Ved Vyasa School. Around 80 students were given a questionnaire to know the fund of knowledge in epilepsy. Later a lecture on the myths and facts of epilepsy and the first aid in epilepsy was given. Stroke signs and symptoms, the risk factors was also emphasized. Details of the trigger factors of the headache were narrated. There was a good interaction among the students.
