Theme based awareness programme with focus on prevention of epilepsy was conducted at various schools and outpatient block from November 9- November 16th 2009. A painting competition for children with epilepsy was conducted on the 16th Nov 2009.
A CME programme for the Medical officers from Nellore was held on the 17th of November. The chief guest of the function was Dr D Suresh Kumar, District Medical Health Officer. School educational programme was conducted in the Gomathy International School and Modern School. Dr Bindu enlightened them about the myths and facts of epilepsy. The teachers actively participated in the programme.
A quiz competition on epilepsy was conducted for the Final MBBS, MSc Nursing and Physiotherapy students on 26th of November. There was a good response with 42 participants. An awareness programme in Narayana Nursing College was also conducted.
