Received NEUROLOGY RURAL SERVICE AWARD from Nellore Rural MLA Sree Kotam Reddy Sridhar Reddy on Doctor’s Day for the rural services ” Neurology on wheels”. I sincerely thank Our MLA for the encouragement. And all my team members for the help to Dr Bindu Menon Foundation.

Neurology on Wheels – Camp 28-06-2015


Free camp was held at Bitragunta village in Bogole.108 patients attended the camp. All were given free medicines. Patients included stroke, epilepsy,vertigo and headache as major illness. Several stroke patients were not on medication. A counselling session was held in the beginning. Our motto of the foundation- ” WE REACH, WE TEACH AND WE TREAT’ continues in each neurology on wheels camp.

Neurology on wheels 10-05-2015


Free medical camp was held at Ramatheertham. First a counselling session was held. Later patients were examined and given free medicines. There were 9 cases of stroke of which 7 were not on treatment. There 3 cases of epilepsy who were on medications but with poor compliance. Total of 91 cases were examined and given medicines by our team in the scorching heat of 40 degrees. The foundation thanks Dr D Ajaykumar physiotherapist for his help in smooth organisation of the camp.

Neurology on Wheels 12-04-2015


Free medical camp was held at Kommi in Kondapuram mandal, around 90 km from Nellore. 134 patients attended the camp and were given free medicines. Patients were first given an awareness programme. The common diseases were Stroke, Epilepsy, Headache Mr. Konduru Bheemeswara Rao donated Rs 5000/- to the foundation. We express sincere thanks for this gesture.

Neurology On Wheels was held at Golla Kandakur 01-03-2015


Patients were first given awareness on stroke and epilepsy. Later they were examined and given medicines. There were 5 persons with epilepsy not on treatment. Several were hypertensive not on medications. All were duly counselled.

Neurology On Wheels-camp 01-02-2015.


Free Detection and treatment camp for Epilepsy and Stroke was held at Iskapalem, Village in Buchireddypalem. Village sarpanch was given prior information about the visit and they informed the villagers about the camp. 74 patients were examined. First an awareness was given for both diseases and queries were cleared. Later patients were examined and given medicines. Several patients were not on medicines and were not aware of the need for life long treatment.

NEUROLOGY ON WHEELS 28th Jan 2015


“NEUROLOGY ON WHEELS” was inaugurated by my DAD and Chairman of Dr Bindu Menon Foundation; Shree K. M.Ramachandran Nambiar on 28th Jan 2015. The Foundation has been doing services in the form of free medical camps, screening and detection of stroke and epilepsy, awareness programes in schools, colleges and various organisations. The foundation wishes to extend its services to the village. The foundation team will go in “NEUROLOGY ON WHEELS” vehicle in the interiors of the village and give awareness tips and hold the medical camp for the people of the village.

Epilepsy Day Rally


National epilepsy day was celebrated on 17th Nov 2012. The theme for this year was epilepsy and empowerment. A project which was sent to International Bureau for Epilepsy under the promising strategy programme has been approved. 5 persons with epilepsy will be taught cell phone repair and then given the basic infrastructure for their livelihood. Advertisements regarding the same were put in the local newspapers. Another theme ‘PREVENT HEAD INJURY PREVENT EPILEPSY’ was propagated on the day. Flexes depicting follow traffic rules, use of seat belts while driving, avoid drink and drive, don’t use cell phone and wear helmet while riding two wheelers were placed in strategic locations. The Epilepsy Association Nellore chapter members, students, well wishers all joined the campaign. Hon. Member of parliament MR. Mekapatti Rajmohan Reddy flagged the rally. Around 130 people on two wheeler with helmet participated in the rally. Hon. MP along with members walked the whole distance. The concept and the event were covered by all local news channel and local news papers. A painting competition was held on the primary school where the same poster were depicted essay competition with the topic my Nellore city – my vision of a accident free city was conducted in 3 junior colleges students participated with enthusiasm.
